Resveratrol: a Powerful Antioxidant

Resveratrol is a natural polyphenol that is found in more than 70 different plant species. It is in red wine, grape skins, and seeds. It also acts against bacteria and fungi. It also has powerful antioxidant and antitumor actions.

Resveratrol is shown to reduce oxidative stress, excitotoxicity, and reduce inflammation. It additionally decreases lipid peroxidation, protects astrocytes, and reduces cell death. It can also improve functional recovery. In one study, it improved brain edema, spatial cognitive function, and neuronal impairment. Spatial cognition refers to locating objects in space, assessing location in-depth, and processing motion.

Since oxidative stress is what breaks the camel’s back. By addressing it with Resveratrol, there is a decrease in inflammation, neurodegeneration, and cell death.

Resveratrol can be used for conditions beyond a traumatic brain injury. There is benefit in treating mold illness, brain bleeds, or brain injury from seizure activity.
